Dai Yaping is a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress and Chairman of Tus-Design Group. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she organized the companies of the group to support the fight against the virus both in Wuhan, the hardest-hit city in Hubei Province and in her home town Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. "Life matters the most. Following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, I organized some 25 staff members with a subsidiary company of our group in Shenzhen to go to Wuhan, the hardest-hit city in Hubei to offer help in building Leishenshan Hospital. We drafted the emergency hospital anti-virus technology plan during the epidemic. We raised protective materials for hospitals with solutions for oxygen generation, disinfection, and medical waste. We also took the responsibility for the treatment and disposal of medical waste in Hubei during the epidemic.

"With the comprehensive effort Wuhan took against the coronavirus epidemic, the situation got better in epidemic prevention and control, but at the same time, lots of medical waste were being generated. If these things are not handled well, they will easily cause secondary pollution. Our team not only helped Leishenshan Hospital treat medical waste, but also provides services to the Dahuashan Temporary Hospital in Wuhan as well as many medical waste incineration stations in Xiaogan and Ezhou in Hubei.

"At the end of January, the epidemic prevention and control situation in Suzhou, Jiangsu was grim and there was an urgent need for diagnosis and treatment. The employees of our company worked overtime to formulate an emergency plan. The designers unconditionally abandoned their Spring Festival holiday and in only 48 hours completed the design of negative pressure ward reconstruction project for the 5th People's Hospital in Suzhou, and the design of the 500-bed emergency hospital in Suzhou.

"Medical workers always fight at the frontlines to save lives. They stick to their posts and work hard, using their bodies to build a safety wall to isolate viruses, and using their own lives to protect the health of the people. As the chairman of Suzhou Survey and Design Association, I led the association in launching a love fundraising and attracted nearly 2,000 people to donate in 4 days. We donated to 4 hospitals responsible for coronavirus prevention work in Suzhou.

"During the pandemic, we also paid close attention to the health of our own employees and family members. The company established a system of prevention and control, clarifying responsibilities, preparing sufficient materials, implementing logistics support, in order to ensure that our employees can get back to work smoothly both online and offline. At present, there is no case of infection in the company."
